Every first Sunday our church collects food for the Lawton Food Bank.
"Widow Patrol" (based on James 1:27) monthly provides home repair and yard-work assistance for our parishioners.
We host Boy Scout Troop 176 which meets every Monday, 7 pm.
We also host Cub Scout Pack 107, which meets 6:30-8 pm the forth Monday of the month.
We help build homes with Habitat for Humanity and we have a Pastor's Discretionary Fund to assist those in a crisis situation in our community.
We assist children at the J. Roy Dunning Children's Shelter with our "Christmas in July" and periodical fund raisers to help the shelter staff meet the emergency needs of the children.
We are sponsors for children in the Lawton Food For Kids program, which provides children (and their siblings) from Lawton Public Schools who have been identified as in-need of services. On Friday afternoons, the child is provided with a book bag filled with nutritious, non-perishable food: this is often the only food the child may have over the weekend.
We go to prisons and do Kairos and Torch Weekends, which comes out of the Emmaus Program which we support and have a strong membership following (see the Great Plains Emmaus Community page).
We help sponsor Redemption Ministry, a ministry to inmates who are close to release: we provide supper on the First Sunday and Thursday of each month.
We sponsor a "Blessing of the Animals" event to raise donations of pet food for VAPS (Volunteers Animal Protection Society).
We sponsor our elderly parishioners in obtaining the LifeLine safety program.
We hold periodical fund-raisers (i.e. a Chili-Cook Off, Clothing Drive for Goodwill and Tee-shirt sales) to sponsor local mission outreach needs.
